​Painting is both a visceral and insightful process, a communion of spirit and materials that challenges, surprises and, at its best, illuminates.

My process relies on spontaneity and an inquisitiveness to look deeper and explore further. It requires a willingness to flow with the process and be open to unexpected possibilities.

I currently work with acrylic paint on canvas or linen using a variety of techniques that range from delicate washes to applying paint in athletic gestures. The paintings evolve as I engage with color, composition and mark-making.

It’s a dance. Sometimes I lead the painting and more 

often, the painting leads me.
